Beauty in Bloom This Weekend

Are you wishing for Springtime right now?  Here’s just the tonic for Spring fever!

The Milwaukee Art Museum presents Beauty in Bloom this weekend, Thursday March 26th through Sunday, March 29th.  The museum is taking the opportunity to focus on flowers and fashion, in conjunction with its current exhibition.  This show replaces Art in Bloom for 2015.  Our own Denise Gehrke, AIFD, PFCI will be entering the competition once again.  Her design will be based on a stunning yellow gold and black couture dress.  At this time, the floral design she is working on is a closely guarded secret – you’ll just have to attend the show to see what Denise creates.  She is also emcee of the Designer Awards and Iron Florist competition, Thursday at 6:15 pm in the Lubar Auditorium. This competition features three floral designers creating their own designs using the same elements in each.  It’s great fun and your chance to see designers creating right before your eyes.  Also featured is a Saturday evening Fashion Show that sounds like so much fun – featuring organic fashions and accessories made from flowers.  Treat yourself and celebrate spring at the Milwaukee Art Museum this weekend!
